Trading Risk Disclosure
Trading cryptoassets is high-risk. You could lose all the money you
put in, and more if you use leverage. Cryptoassets are largely unregulated in the UK, and you are unlikely to be
protected if something goes wrong: the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme are
unlikely to cover you. Do not trade money you cannot afford to lose.
1. Volatility and total loss
Cryptoasset prices can move by large amounts in minutes. A position can lose most or all of its value. Past movements, setups that worked before, and anything shown on Quantar do not tell you what will happen next.
2. Leverage, liquidation, gaps and slippage
- Leverage (futures, perpetuals, margin) multiplies losses as well as gains. A small move can liquidate your position.
- Prices can gap through a stop: your stop can fill far worse than its level, or not at all.
- Orders can slip in fast or thin markets. Spreads, fees, funding and liquidity all affect your result.
- Crypto derivatives are not sold to retail consumers by UK-regulated firms. If you trade them through an overseas venue, you will not have UK regulatory protection.
3. Data and venue risk
- Quantar's analysis uses market data from third parties. It can be delayed, missing, revised or wrong, and prices differ between venues: the price on your exchange can differ from the price Quantar used.
- Exchanges can go down, freeze withdrawals, change their rules or fail. Quantar has no control over them.
4. Model and signal risk
- Quantar's zones, scores, Wyckoff readings, engine states (WAIT, ENTER, DE-RISK, EXIT…), predicted scenarios and ranks come from models and rules. They are often wrong. A setup can be invalidated, a predicted event may never happen, and markets can change behaviour in ways no model expects.
- "ENTRY READY", "ACTION NOW" and similar words describe the state of Quantar's analysis. They are not an instruction, and not a recommendation that a trade is suitable for you.
- Quantar's learning uses past outcomes to rank setups. Learning can make ranking worse as well as better, and it needs enough samples before it means anything.
5. Past, paper and simulated results
Historical results, back-tests, paper trading, simulated results and examples are not evidence of future live results. They do not include all the costs, delays and slippage of real trading.
6. No guarantee
We do not guarantee accuracy, profit, execution or uninterrupted availability. Notifications can arrive late or not at all.
7. Your responsibility
You decide whether trading suits your circumstances, how much to risk and whether to act on anything Quantar shows. If you are unsure, get independent advice from an authorised professional.
