Custody, Execution & Exchange Integration
How Quantar works with your money and your exchange accounts.
1. Quantar never holds your money or assets
- Quantar does not take deposits, hold customer funds, hold private keys or seed phrases, or run wallets for you. Your assets stay with the exchange or wallet you choose.
- Membership payments are taken by Stripe. Quantar never sees or stores your full card details.
- Never send Quantar crypto, and never give anyone your private keys or seed phrase. Quantar will never ask for them.
2. Analysis does not place orders
The Hub, Markets, Spot, charts and notifications show analysis. They do not place orders. If you act on them, you do so yourself, on your own exchange account.
3. Connecting an exchange (API keys)
- On Trade you can connect an exchange API key. Your key, secret and passphrase are encrypted before they are stored, the encryption key is held separately in a secrets vault, and only the last four characters are ever shown. Your connections are visible only to your account.
- Use a key with trading permission only — never withdrawal or transfer permission. Quantar asks you to confirm this and refuses connections marked as allowing withdrawals. Set the permissions on the exchange itself, restrict the key to known IP addresses where your exchange allows it, and delete the key on the exchange if you stop using Quantar.
- Quantar has no function that withdraws or transfers your assets.
- You can remove a connection from Trade at any time; it is deleted from Quantar straight away.
4. Orders
Order placement through a connected exchange is available only where Quantar has switched it on for your account. When it is on, an order is sent only when you submit it yourself, together with the take-profit and stop-loss you set for it. Quantar never trades your account on its own, and automated trading is not offered to members.
5. Your responsibilities
- Keep your exchange account, API keys and two-factor authentication secure.
- Check every order on your exchange. Your exchange's records are the source of truth for your positions.
